Bike assembly from a box or bike case.
Flying in with your own bike and staying in a villa or apartment with no mechanic? I build the bike where you are staying, set up your position and check everything before your first ride. I store the empty box or case, and before you fly home I pack the bike again.
How does it work?
Four moments of your stay.
Before you land
Send me your arrival and departure dates, the address where you are staying, your saddle height and bar position. A side-on photo of the bike helps too.
After you land
I build the bike, set your position to your measurements, fit pedals, computer and power meter, check brakes and gears, and pump up the tyres.
During your stay
I store your box or case until departure day, so it doesn’t take up room in the apartment.
Before you fly
I clean the drivetrain and tyres without water, take the bike apart, protect the derailleur and rotors, and pack it into the box or case.

Why “from”? Most road bikes are covered by the base price. Bikes that take a lot more work, such as triathlon and TT bikes, cost more. Send me a photo or the model of your bike and I’ll give you the exact price before you arrive.
For groups of 4 or more bikes: assembly and packing from 45 € per bike, or from 80 € for both. Training camp mechanic
With Ride Safe+ (159 € for 7 days) you get Box Service together with roadside assistance and a check-up halfway through your stay. Ride Safe+
What to prepare?
- Saddle height (from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle)
- Bar position, or a side-on photo of the bike
- Pedals, computer and mounts, if you pack them separately
- Arrival and departure dates and times, and the address where you are staying
Where do you build the bike?
At your place: villa, apartment or hotel. The travel fee for your zone is added to the price.
Can you build a bike from a case rather than a box?
Yes. I build and pack bikes from boxes and from soft and hard bike cases.
How much is box storage on its own?
15 € per week. With Box Service from 99 €, storage is included.
What does the assembly price depend on?
On the bike. Most road bikes are covered by the base price, from 45 €. Bikes that take a lot more work, such as triathlon and TT bikes, cost more. I give you the exact price before I come, based on a photo or the model of your bike.
Are parts included?
No. If something needs replacing during assembly, I tell you the price first.
